20 Suspected Terrorist Captured

Indonesian Anti Terrorist squad Densus 88 has arrested a number of people suspected to be involved in various terrorist activity in certain areas such as Aceh, Jakarta and West Java province. These arrests following information obtained by the police regarding terrorist group deep in the jungle of Aceh mountain. Two of the suspected terrorist were killed in the shootout.

Suspected Terrorist Killed in the Shootout

The Indonesian police chief Jend Bambang Harsono Danuri explained on Wednesday (10/3/2010) that the Aceh terrorist activities were uncovered after report from civilians who heard gun shot in the area. It is discovered that thee group have started their activities on February 17, 2001. The first arrest taken place on Fabruary 22, 2010.

Below are names of suspect believed to be in the custody of the Indonesian Police.

Sapta Adi Robert Bakri aka Ismet Hakiki aka Abu Sidik aka Syailendra aka Abu Mujahid from Pandeglang, West Java. Graduated from Mindanau, Filipina, and involved in the bombing of Australian embassy in Jakarta.
Yudi Zulfahri aka Bara from Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar. He acts as the main recruiter to facilitate the rest of the group into Aceh province.
Zaki Rahmatullah aka Zainal Mutaqin aka Abu Zaid from Bungur, Picung, Pandeglang, West Java.
Maskur Rahmat from Kuring, Aceh province.
Surya aka Abu Semak Belukar from Aceh province.
Azzam aka Imanudinfrom Aceh province.
Heru from Lampung province.
Muchtar from Tanah Abang, Jakarta.
Agus Wasdianto aka Hasan aka Nasib from Depok, West Java.
Deni aka Fariz from Karawang, West Java.
Adi Munadi from Bandung, West Java.
Laode Hafid aka Adib aka Hafiz aka Abu Hazwh.
Sumamen aka Suleh from Lampung province.
Adam aka Adi aka Pandeglang, Banten, West Java.
Sofyan Taushori from Depok, West Java. He is known to establish a shooting practice school in West Java couple of years back. He is also suspected to have smugled amunnition to Aceh.
Sutrisno from Jakarta.
Tatang from Jakarta.
Abdi from Jakarta.

Marzuki alias Tengku (deceased).
